Gillian is a specialist employment law solicitor and HR consultant who advises on all aspects of the employee life cycle, from recruitment (safer recruitment) to termination (on all grounds).

Gillian has worked across many sectors in her 25 years of practice, particularly in sport, and has represented owners, clubs, managers, coaches and support staff in elite sport for many years, with specialist knowledge and experience of working in football, rugby, cricket and golf.

Gillian regularly advises on high value contract and exit negotiations, misconduct cases and safeguarding issues.

Gillian is also a member of Swim England Judicial Appeals Committee and the East Riding FA Disciplinary Panel.

Gillian also conducts external investigations into issues of misconduct, safeguarding breaches and whistleblowing and represents both employers and individuals at disciplinary and appeal hearings and before the Employment Tribunal.

Gillian provides pro bono HR support to Candlelighters, a children’s cancer charity in Leeds.
